Kedwell Fires Dons To Win At Woking

Woking 0 v Wimbledon 4

Danny Kedwell scored all four goals as Wimbledon continued their impressive pre-season campaign with a comfortable 4-0 win at Woking on Saturday (July 24).

The first came after just four minutes, when Ricky Wellard played in Jon Main down the left and his low cross was converted by Kedwell.

The second came after 24 minutes, shooting home after good build-up play by Sam Moore and Ryan Jackson, who played in a wide midfield role and tormented the Woking left-back in the first-half.

The third came just before half-time, heading home a cross from the right.

And the fourth came on twenty minutes from the end, heading home again after beating the Woking keeper to a Christian Jolley cross.

It was a dominant display from the Dons and, even though Woking came into it slightly after the Dons made mass changes during the second-half, goalkeeper Seb Brown was hardly tested all afternoon.

The Dons host Kingstonian on Tuesday night (July 27) before travelling to Devon for weekend games against Tiverton Town (July 30) and Exeter City (July 31).

They then host an Arsenal XI on August 7 before the Blue Square Bet Premier campaign gets underway with a visit to Southport on August 14.

Wimbledon: S.Brown; Hatton, Yakubu (Harris), Johnson (Franks), Jolley; Jackson (J.Brown), Minshull, S.Moore (Jones), Wellard (Yussuff); Kedwell (Gjoni), Main (Sam-Yorke).
