Record Crowds At Wimbledon Village Fair

Fun-packed day was had by all

The Wimbledon Village Fair took place last Saturday and was the Wimbledon Guild's best yet, attracting an estimated 30,000 visitors for a day of fun-packed family entertainment.

The event was opened by Mr Potato from upcoming Peppa Pig's Big Splash at The New Wimbledon Theatre (right)

The crowds enjoyed a variety of entertainment including songs from local groups, Sing Swell Choir, local folk artist Malory Torr and rock & indie band Feature Creep.

Olivia McGuire (below) and her dog Matabele won 2nd prize for their creative costumes in the Fun Dog Show Fancy Dress competition. The Wimbledon Village Fair Horse Show saw a record number of entrants. Highlights included the musical rides by the Wimbledon Village Stables to the music of The Lion King.
