No Trams From Wimbledon For Ten Days

Dundonald Road Will Also Be Shut For Traffic

The Wimbledon tram service will be closed for track renewal works from February 11-20.

It means the service being shut between Wimbledon and Mitcham, as well as the closure of Dundonald Road.

The work consists of 750 metres of track replacement between Morden Road and Merton Park, and replacement of both the embedded track and the signals through the Dundonald Road crossing.

A bus replacement service will be arranged calling at Wimbledon, Morden Road and Mitcham Tram stops only, with Tramlink staff available to help at these locations.

There will be diversions for traffic at Dundonald Road, with access to residents only.

Tramlink have organised a drop-in session for residents and customers at Merton Park Primary School, on Tuesday January 24 between 5pm and 8pm.
