Dons are aiming to return to Wimbledon
AFC Wimbledon is holding a public exhibition of their plans to redevelop Wimbledon Stadium at Plough Lane.
Wimbledon and developers Galliard Homes are staging the exhibition before submitting a planning application to Merton Council.
It takes place tomorrow (Tuesday July 1) at Wimbledon Park Hall in Arthur Road.
The proposals include:
Demolition of the current greyhound stadium
To build (in stages) a high-quality 20,000-seat stadium suitable for Championship level football. The initial stadium will open with a capacity of approximately 11,000 seats, with hospitality
Approximately 600 new homes with basement parking, delivered by Galliard Homes
A squash/fitness club with contemporary training facilities
Local retail space
Approximately 330 car parking spaces and cycle parking.
