Local MP joins discussion at public meeting
Wimbledon is host to a debate between local MP Stephen Hammond and international expert Dr Rebecca Johnson who will be discussing the future of UK nuclear weapons.
It takes at a public meeting on
January 23 at 7.30pm at the Mansel Road Centre, Mansel Road,
Wimbledon, London SW19 4AA.
The meeting has been organised by Wimbledon Disarmament Coalition/CND and Secretary Joanna Bazley said: "We are very pleased that Stephen
Hammond MP has agreed to discuss the question of new nuclear weapons
for Britain. It is important that everyone knows the reasons why the
Government is planning to spend billions of pounds on renewing
Trident."
