One robbery victim was a 14-year-old girl
Police are appealing for information after a robber wielding a gun stole a phone from a teenage girl in Wimbledon.
Minutes later, a 21-year-old victim was robbed of his wallet after he was also threatened by a man with a handgun.
The first robbery took place in Chase Alley which runs between Merton Hall Road and Kingston Road in Wimbledon Chase at around 8.40pm on Thursday (December 27). The victim, a 14-year-old girl, was
robbed of her mobile phone.
The second robbery occurred minutes later on Kingston Road.
On both occasions the victims were threatened with a black handgun before the suspect ran
off in the direction of South Wimbledon.
He is described as a light-skinned black man, possibly mixed race, around 5'7" or 5'8" in
height and with stubble. He was wearing a hooded top with a black and red Puffa type jacket

A white male was seen by one of the victims of one of the robberies to cycle past them in Chase
Alley. This person is not believed to be connected to the robbery, but may be able to provide
vital information and is asked to contact police.
DCI Tracey Stevens of Merton CID said: "These were two particularly traumatic robberies that
took place shortly after Christmas involving very young victims. I ask anyone who has information that can assist in identifying this male to come forward and
speak to police to prevent him from committing further crimes".
