The Wimbledon Invitational Challenge Trophy
Fencing teams from across the region will be coming to Wimbledon on Sunday (April 12) to take part in a competition.
The Wimbledon Invitational Challenge Trophy is an annual three weapon event with teams competing in sabre, foil and épée.
The competition consists of two rounds: Round one is a seeding round, the top four enter pool 1 and the lowest four enter pool 2 for the second round. In round two all fencers are awarded scores for their final position, 16 for the highest and 1 for the lowest. Each club's scores are added together for the final result.
It takes place at the sports centre at Ursuline High School from 10am. For more information go to //www.wimbledonfencingclub.org.uk/.
