The Wimbledon Club Gets Set To Stage Professional Squash Event

March tournament will also raise charity funds through sponsorship

Wimbledon businesses enjoyed fast-paced squash court action featuring some of the world’s top players at a reception to launch the upcoming third Professional Squash Tournament.

The prestigious world-ranking event, which will be held at The Wimbledon Club from March 18-23 will be one of only three large UK events on the Squash World Tour and is striving to increase its overall prize fund to $50,000 from $25,000 from last year.

Now in its third year, the tournament has made the Wimbledon Club’s name synonymous with world class squash and hospitality.

It also raises funds through sponsorship for children’s charity Squash Squared. Squash Squared was founded by the Wimbledon Club’s Director of Squash, Stacey Ross along with Jared Brading in 2015 and works with disadvantaged children from four schools across South London; Sacred Heart Battersea, Southmead School, Overton Grange and St Cecelia’s.
