Hear about the Harpist of Madrid
Local author Gordon Barnes will be talking about his book, The Harpist of Madrid, at West Barnes Library on Saturday (October 6).
He will be reading some passages from his novel during the afternoon tea event, which runs from 3pm-4.30pm.
His book is based on the life story of Juan Hidalgo, a 17th century harpist and composer who worked in the court of King Philip IV of Spain.
Everyone is welcome to this free event, presented by the Friends of West Barnes Library. Refreshments will be provided.
