Unearthed Tells The Story Of Estranged Twins

Coming to Wimbledon as part of Illuminate Festival

The UK premiere of new play ‘Unearthed’ comes to New Wimbledon Theatre's Studio from May 5-6 as part of a UK tour.

It stars The Inbetweeners actress Lizzie Stables, written by Royal Court young writer Alys Metcalf, and is directed by Kim Pearce, resident director of The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night Time.

Lizzie Stables, who is best know for playing popular character Chloe in The Inbetweeners and has also appeared in TV shows such as MirandaHolby City and Doctors plays the lead role of Eliza. She teamed up with writer Alys Metcalf to create Folio Theatre Company after the pair worked together on a project for Film 4.

Unearthed tells the story of estranged twins Eliza (Lizzie) and Ben who are forced back together on a quest to honour the unusual wishes in their late father’s will.

They find themselves thrown into absurd and ludicrous situations and forced to confront a few home truths, on an enlightening mission that will reignite past memories and dig up some well-buried secrets.

…Theatre has suffered from the UK-wide starving of funds to regional arts venues, exactly where some of our brightest minds and imaginations are creating theatre. A prime example is Folio Theatre” - Dame Harriet Walter

The production supports the work of The Stroke Association and Carers Trust UK, who Folio are working in partnership with.

Unearthed is showing at the New Wimbledon Studio as part of Illuminate Festival on May 5 and 6.

Tickets can be purchased through the box office over the phone on 0844 871 7646 or online at www.atgtickets.com. For more information about the production, visit www.foliotheatre.co.uk.
