Underground bosses say disruption "unlikely"
A 24-hour tube strike, which starts at 9pm on Friday (January 14) could hit Northern Line passengers.
RMT union members are to strike on both the Northern and Bakerloo lines after the union claimed two drivers were targeted because of their trade union activity.
But while London Underground bosses say a "limited" service will operate on the Bakerloo line, they say distruption is "unlikely" on the Northern line.
Of 192 Northern Line staff balloted over the dismissals, 80 took part in the vote, with 38 voting for a strike.
The RMT leadership has advised staff at Morden depot (where there was a small majority of those voting in favour of strike action) to strike regardless.
Howard Collins, LU's chief operating officer, said: "It is absolutely outrageous for the RMT to threaten further strike action in support of these drivers, one of whom was dismissed for a serious breach of safety rules, and the other for unacceptable and abusive behaviour towards his colleagues.
"The union leadership failed in its attempt to gain support for the strike from Northern line staff. The last Northern line strike had no effect and we managed to keep a service running on parts of the Bakerloo line despite the action there."

Central Line
On Saturday and Sunday, there is no service between Holborn and White City.
Circle Line
On Saturday and Sunday, there is no service between Edgware Road and Hammersmith.
London Overground
On Sunday, there is no service between Richmond and Stratford.
On Sunday, there is no service between Shepherd's Bush and Willesden Junction.
