Raynes Park Loft Conversion Is Gutted By Fire

Road is closed off as firefighters tackle house blaze

More than 30 firefighters and officers were called to deal with a house fire Raynes Park last night.

A loft conversion at a mid-terraced house in Bronson Road was gutted by fire. Half of the first floor of the property was also damaged by fire.

One person left the property before the arrival of the six fire engines from the brigade and there were no reports of any injuries.

The alert was made at 9.22pm and the fire was under control at 11.51pm. Fire crews from Wimbledon, Tooting, Kingston, Norbury and Mitcham fire stations attended the scene.

Nearby Kingston Road was closed off for a while as the fire was put out. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
