Christmas Comes To Raynes Park


Mayor will turn on the borough's lights

The official Merton Christmas light switch-on will take place in Raynes Park Town Centre on Thursday 28 November between 3.30pm-6.30pm.

The Mayor of Merton will be switching on Merton's Christmas lights from the town centre at 5pm. There will be carol singers, live entertainment and bell ringers.

Activities on the night

As part of the switch-on event, there will be a range of festive activities taking place in Raynes Park town centre.

Raynes Park station (Coombe Lane entrance)

3.30–4.15pm: St John Fisher Primary School choir, singing carols and Christmas classics.

4.30–6.30pm: Auburn Jam Music presents local singer/songwriters performing Christmas classics and their own original material.

5.00pm: The Mayor of Merton, Councillor Krystal Miller to switch on the borough’s Christmas lights.

5.30–6.30pm: Live performance by Star Turn Bell Ringers

Raynes Park station (Kingston Road entrance)

5.00–6.00pm: Inspire choir performing Christmas classics.

Other local Christmas events will take place at Wimbledon on December 1; Morden on December 6 (3pm-7pm); Mitcham on December 7 (9am-7pm).
