This year’s Merton Best Business Awards are to be held at AFC Wimbledon for the first time.
The awards have been celebrating the innovators, the success stories and the entrepreneurs of the borough since 2013.
The organisers have joined forces with AFC Wimbledon, as venue partners to host award ceremony at its state-of-the-art facility on Thursday 5 October.
The evening aims to provide guests with a glamorous, fun and memorable night and the new venue allows the event to be bigger with more guests, entertainment, a drinks reception, a three-course meal...all rounded off with views of the football ground.
Bal Srai, AFC Wimbledon’s Head of Revenue, Operations, and Ticketing, said, “It’s a real honour for us to host this prestigious event – and one that rewards the resilience, excellence and innovation of local businesses. AFC Wimbledon’s journey is characterised by showing such resilience against the odds, and it was always our vision that our new stadium would host large community events like this. We’re constantly striving to be a state-of the-art facility that’s regarded as a centrepiece for special events in Merton. With this in mind, we’ve updated our lighting and sound systems in our main function room, so that we can offer an events space for the Merton Best Business Awards that’s fitting for such an important occasion. As we grow our business and commercial operations further, we’re looking forward to hosting similar events as these Awards for many years to come.”
Simon Marsh, Partner at WSM Advisors and Headline Sponsors said, “It’s coming home - Merton Best Business Awards 2023 gala finals are being held at the home of AFC Wimbledon! WSM Advisors are thrilled to be working with AFC Wimbledon on this fantastic event to recognise and reward the Best Business innovators, teams and talents from across Merton borough. The fabulous new venue will make Merton Best Business Awards 2023 even bigger and even better and we can't wait to celebrate with you all."
Winners will be announced at the Merton Best Business Awards on Thursday 5 October.

This site remains committed to providing local community news and public interest journalism.
Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
