Beat-boxer Shlomo will headline the inaugural Spectrumm Festival taking place from Friday to Sunday (September 11-13) at Merton Abbey Mills.
Brass Volcanoes, a New Orleans inspired jazz-funk band will bring Saturday’s free festivities to a close.
The innovative and mobile Edinburgh Fringe Comedy Venue, The Blundabus, will be bringing with it some surprise guests (previous shows have included award-winning comedians such as Stewart Lee, Phil Kay and Tim Renkow).
The Bikini Beach Band return to play their first show in the borough since 2012, and there’s even a free screening of Paddington in amongst the activities.
The event has been organised and programmed by Merton council's leisure team and there will be opportunities to try activities such as mini-tennis and bungee running courtesy of the Sport England funded project, Sports Blast.
Merton’s Cabinet Member for Community and Culture, Councillor Nick Draper, said: "We’re thrilled to have secured a number of great entertainers for our first ever Spectrumm Festival. I hope families, visitors and residents will flock to Abbey Mills to enjoy a couple of grand days out."
