How You Can Make A Difference

Wimbledon volunteers encourage others to help

Local volunteers will be encouraging more people to help them "Make a Difference" to the lives of others in Wimbledon.

Volunteer Centre Merton will be running an awareness campaign in Wimbledon's Centre Court Shopping Centre on Saturday (October 29) as part of the national Make A Difference Day.

They will be running a stand on the ground floor, telling shoppers about their local volunteering, and there will also be face-painting for the youngsters.

How You Can Make A Difference

As part of the special day, a number of local councillors will be volunteering at projects across Merton.

They include Councillor Nick Draper, who will be volunteering for the morning at Deen City Farm in South Wimbledon. His duties will include mucking out and feeding the livestock.
