Show covers 50 years of the iconic Irish folk band
April 27, 2026
The night Dublin came to Wimbledon was one we won't forget, as Seven Drunken Nights telling the story of The Dubliners raised the rafters at New Wimbledon Theatre.
This feel-good show will get you singing along - even if you aren't a super fan of the pioneering Irish folk band. While many in the audience were familiar with every song, you don't have to know every word to relish the experience.
As performed in the West End and around the world, this show combines musical and story-telling as it covers the the 50+ years of the iconic Irish band.
Everyone will recognise the hit tunes of Whiskey in the Jar, The Irish Rover, The Wild Rover, Dirty Old Town and Molly Malone and they are performed by such a talented group of performers that you can't help but at least clap along to the music.
Clever use of video backdrops featuring historic TV shows and adverts helped the audience adjust to the relevant years, as the story of the Dubliners was told from their early days in the legendary O’Donoghue’s pub in Dublin. There's laughter, dancing and a touch of sadness. All in all, this is a glorious night out and I heartily recommend it.
You can still catch it on its UK tour before it heads to Australia in June. Find out more here.
