Four Fire Engines Put Out House Fire


20 firefighters attended the semi detached on Lancaster Road

The fire affected a semi-detached house of three floors and part of the first floor was damaged by fire. London Fire Brigade confirmed that:
"Fortunately, no-one was injured in the blaze. The fire is believed to have been caused by a bedroom spotlight coming into contact with bedding".

The four fire engines and around 20 firefighters were from Wimbledon, New Malden, Fulham and Wandsworth fire stations.

The Brigade was called at 20:26hrs and the fire was under control at 21:16hrs. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
