Motorcyclist seriously injured after crashing involving taxi

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed a collision on Wimbledon High Street which has left a motorcyclist with a serious head injury.

They crash involving his motorcycle and a taxi happened shortly before 1.06am on Saturday, 3 June.

The 25-year-old motorcyclist was taken to a west London hospital where he remains in hospital in a stable condition.

DC Alex Price, the investigating officer from the Met's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "This was a nasty collision that left a young man with serious injuries. We are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the collision to contact us as soon as possible.

"In particular, we are keen to trace and speak to two people who had just got into the taxi prior to the collision but had left the scene by the time officers arrived."
