Man Killed by Lorry On Wimbledon Bridge


Appeal for witnesses to fatality this Monday evening

A man has died after being hit by a lorry on Wimbledon Bridge last night (28th April).

The fatality occurred outside Wimbledon Station at around 7.50pm.

Paramedics treated the victim, a man in his thirties, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed and the Metropolitan Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Hampton is investigating.

The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene and has not been arrested. Eye witnesses have reported that they saw the man running to catch a bus before he was hit.
