Stock up for the festive season at St Mark's Church
It may only be October but a little bit of Christmas is coming to Wimbledon with the opening of the Cards for Good Causes seasonal shop at St Mark's Church on November 6.
The UK's largest multi-charity Christmas card organisation is once again decking the halls in its Wimbledon shop offering an array of festive cards and Christmas gift ideas.
Staffed by volunteers, the outlet sells cards for more than 25 national and local charities.
This year the shop is being officially opened by Peter Duncan - of Blue Peter Fame who is appearing in Hairspray at Wimbledon Theatre. He will be opening the shop at 5.30pm on November 6.
Local resident Joanna Hayes said: "Our seasonal shops are a great way to prepare for Christmas while at the same time providing an important source of funding for charities.
"In keeping with the Christmas spirit, sending charity Christmas cards allows you to give twice, once to friends and family, and again to worthwhile causes of your choice."
People can find the Wimbledon shop by looking out for Cards for Good Causes' distinctive triangular red Santa sign in St Mark's Place.
In the past five years, charities have received more than £20 million from Cards for Good Causes - representing at least 70p in every pound out of which charities had to pay for the production and distribution of their Christmas cards and any VAT.
The Wimbledon seasonal shop is part of the Cards for Good Causes' national network of over 300 shops, selling cards for around 275 charities and staffed by more than 6,000 volunteers.
It is open 10am to 4pm from November 6 to December 16.
