Installer One: 13 days' work between 14/11/16 - 02/12/16

After a last-minute nine-day delay to the start of work, my finished bathroom might look OK, but the tiling is nearly eight inches higher than in the agreed plans. It means the mirror and cabinet elsewhere in the bathroom are too high for me to make the most of them - and the mirror wrongly goes over the tiling instead of resting above it. On closer inspection, below are pictures of the details of my "dream" bathroom:

The tiling and paintwork is unacceptably shoddy and the towel rail comes away from the wall.

There's a gap in the vinyl flooring in a vulnerable area by the shower tray. The ceiling is left unfinished after the the light has been moved.

The finishing behind the sink is unacceptable and there's a crack in the corner above the shower.

The sealant around the floor is too thick and uneven and the tile grouting is also too thick and uneven.
Bathstore agree the job is so bad that it is to be re-done entirely - apart from the shower tray, which is to remain in place. It's agreed in writing that the new fitter will check if 9mm boarding was used under the vinyl flooring. Nearly two months go by before Installer Two starts work.
