Sebastian Coe Unveils 2012 Pin Badge

Featuring iconic image of Wimbledon’s Centre Court

Sebastian Coe has unveiled the design of a ‘Landmark London’ pin badge for Merton – the iconic image of Wimbledon’s Centre Court.

The SW19 landmark was selected after a vote by residents living in Merton as part of a competition run in each London borough to promote the capital in the run-up to the 2012 Olympics.

The winning image of Centre Court has been re-created into a metal pin badge incorporating the London 2012 logo.

Lord Coe, Chairman of the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games, said: “Wimbledon Centre Court, chosen by the residents of Merton, is a really iconic landmark and celebrates what a fantastically unique city London is.”

The badge will will be available for sale in the coming weeks from Runner's Need, Crest of London, World Duty Free and the Museum of London.
