A Celebration of Mozart from The Putney Choral Society

The next performance by The Putney Choral Society (PCS) is to be a celebration of the music of Mozart with five pieces by the composer.

It is taking place on Saturday 13 May, 7.00pm at St Paul's Church, Augustus Road, Wimbledon Park, (SW19 6EW) with doors open from 6.30pm.

The choir will be conducted by its Music Director, Jamie Powe, with professional soloists and orchestra.

Tickets cost £20, online or at the door (card only) which includes a programme, glass of wine or soft drink and light refreshments.

Founded in 1947, by Dr Stephen Rhys MBE (founder and Musical Director of the choir for 67 years) PCS is a choir of singers of all ages and abilities who join together to learn large-scale choral works, accompanied in concert by professional soloists and orchestra.

PCS is looking for new members. There’s no audition but it’s useful if you can follow a score and sing in tune. You are welcome to attend three rehearsals before making a commitment to join. Subscriptions are £80 a term or £30 for students and the unwaged.

Rehearsals take place on Monday evening, 7.15pm – 9.15pm, at Putney Junior High School, Lytton Grove, SW15 6BH
