Forthcoming Transport Disruption

Train and tube services affected by engineering works

If you are planning to travel over the weekend the following lines are affected by engineering works.

Southern Rail Strike Planned - 18 May

Overground Weekend Engineering Works

Sunday 15 May

No service between Richmond and Willesden Junction due to Network Rail track works. Use the District line between Richmond and Gunnersbury. Replacement bus service R operates between Gunnersbury and Willesden Junction calling at South Acton and Acton Central.

Some lines between London Waterloo and Clapham Junction (including part of London Waterloo station)and all South West Trains lines in the Wimbledon area will be closed Sunday until early afternoon for maintenance work. During this time:

No train services will run between Clapham Junction and Surbiton, or between Clapham Junction and Kingston via Wimbledon.

South West Trains services will use platforms 3 to 6 at Clapham Junction and platforms 1 to 4 at Vauxhall.

Many trains will leave London Waterloo from different platforms to normal - please check displays at station.

A limited train service to routes via Epsom will run from platform 1 at Raynes Park.

Berrylands station will have no service. Passengers should use the Transport for London “K2” bus service between Surbiton and Kingston, which will accept valid rail tickets.

This work will affect services throughout the South West Trains area until mid afternoon and all passengers should confirm times if travelling during this period.

The following trains will run to and from London Waterloo but make additional stops or use alternative routes with longer journey times.  Many services will start earlier than normal from London Waterloo including:

  • Between London Waterloo and Shepperton via Richmond and Kingston (altered service).
  • Between London Waterloo and Reading.
  • Between London Waterloo and Windsor & Eton Riverside. Traisn will run alternately via Twickenham or Hounslow until all lines re-open.
  • Between London Waterloo and Woking via Hounslow and Staines.

The following services will be altered as shown below and passengers may need to change trains to complete their journeys.

  • Some services between London Waterloo and Yeovil Junction / Exeter will only run west of Basingstoke.
  • Stopping services to and from Guildford via Woking and via Cobham will only run between Surbiton and Guildford.
  • Services between London Waterloo and Hampton Court will only run between Surbiton and Hampton Court.
  • Trains will run between Raynes Park and Dorking / Guildford via Epsom. Passengers use replacement bus services between Clapham Junction and Raynes Park or Southern train services between Clapham Junction and Epsom.
  • Trains between London Waterloo and Shepperton will run via Richmond instead of via Wimbledon.
  • “Kingston Loop” trains will only run between London Waterloo and Kingston via Richmond.
  • Replacement buses will run between Clapham Junction and Kingston via Wimbledon.

The following replacement bus services will run.

  • Between Clapham Junction and Surbiton.
  • Between Clapham Junction and Kingston
  • Between Clapham Junction and Chessington South.

The normal train service will run for most of the afternoon and during the evening after the lines re-open.

Monday 30 May

No service between Earl's Court and Wimbledon. Replacement buses operate.

Hammersmith and City Line Weekend Engineering works

No planned engineering works

Circlel Line Weekend Engineering works

No planned engineering works
