Turn Back The Clock In John Innes Park

1950s theme for annual music night

In celebration of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee year, the John Innes Society's Music in the Park event will have a 1950s theme.

Singer Steve Pert will entertain with a variety of songs featuring the music of Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr, Dean Martin and Elvis.

Organisers are inviting people to come and enjoy the fine surroundings of the Edwardian bandstand in the John Innes Park (Mostyn Road entrance, SW19 3LL) on Saturday (June 23).

They say music brought glamour and fun to an austerity decade and some things never change! Bring a picnic and maybe some bobby socks, too.

The concert is on Saturday (June 23), gates open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. Tickets are £10 for adults and £4 for children aged 8-16 (under 8's go free).
