Free Tennis Coaching On Dundonald Rec

Anyone for tennis on Sunday?

Dundonald Rec Tennis Club will be opening its doors and offering free tennis coaching on Sunday (May 18) as part of Great British Tennis Weekend.

The Great British Tennis Weekend will see more than 1,000 venues across Britain open their doors for a series of four weekends – inspiring over 50,000 men, women and children to pick up a racket and hit the court – for free.

Anyone who comes to Dundonald Rec Tennis Club will be able to get involved in: Beginners' tennis sessions, cardio-tennis and mini tennis - and all free.

Rackets and tennis balls will be provided so anyone and everyone can get involved whether they've never tried tennis before, want to get back into the game or are a regular player.

Dr Ernesto Pinto chair of DRTC, said: "We are excited and proud to be taking part in the Great British Tennis Weekend. It's a great chance to try tennis or to get back into the sport. Dundonald Rec Tennis Club already has a programme of free community orientated coaching so this LTA initiative is right up our street.

"We look forward to meeting many new players during the week-end. Of course we'd love to meet a Wimbledon champion of the future and what better place to do so than in Wimbledon, the home of tennis."
