|Wimbledon Music Festival Is Good For The Soul|
Classical music feast in SW19
This year's International Wimbledon Music Festival will soon be offering a "veritable banquet for the soul" with 16 days of music by world renown classical performers.
It takes place at a series of venues across Wimbledon from Saturday November 12 until Sunday November 27.
The festival opens with J S Bach's Mass in B Minor by the Academy Choir and Orchestra at St John's Church in Spencer Hill at 8pm on November 12 and ends at the same venue with a Celebration of the Wind Quintet at 7.30pm on Sunday November 27.
The festival's 21 events also include an evening of gypsy and Balkan music; a lunchtime recorder recital; a performance by Sunwook Kim, Leeds International Pianoforte competition winner and a lunchtime showcase by pupils of the Yehudi Menhuin School.
