Countdown to Wimbledon town centre's big event
TV star Louie Spence will be turning on the Christmas lights in Wimbledon on Thursday (November 25) as part of the town centre's Winter Wonderland 2010 event.
Wimbledon Winter Wonderland will bring the town centre alive with a parade, fireworks, celebrities, live music and dance as well as gift and food stalls. Among the event sponsors are this site: www.wimbledonsw19.com
The Wonderland fun kicks off at 5pm, with fireworks from the roof of Centre Court shopping centre at 6.30pm. The town's lights will then be switched on by Louie Spence, the former dancer, who stars in the Sky One reality show following life at Pineapple Dance Studios
Spence (left) will be appearing in Peter Pan at the New Wimbledon Theatre from December 10-January 16.
Winter Wonderland will also include a parade, which starts at 6pm, with local schools, community groups, dancers and entertainers taking part.
The piazza will be buzzing with live music and dance from 5pm-8pm, where there will also be 18 gift and food stalls.
AFC Wimbledon will be taking over the station forecourt again where they will be running a human football game and selling merchandise from their stand plus 1st team players and management will be making an appearance.
